The most interesting costume that I've ever seen, and I've seen many, had to be during one Halloween in the Village in New York City about 10 years ago. They always had a parade in the Village on Halloween night back when I lived in New York. One Halloween night, my friend and I stood on the side to watch the parade. Let me tell you, New Yorkers really do think "outside the box" when it comes to dressing up for Halloween. There was one particular couple, a man and woman, who were dressed as trees. But not just any trees, they were trees connected by a clothes line with little clothes hanging on them. I thought that that was so original and so cute.
