Summertime always reminds me of those carefree days of being a teenager. Babysitting was always a good way to make a little pocket change. So, tell us about some of your adventures in babysitting. Did you raid the refrigerator? Or talk to your boyfriend on the phone all night? Did you have a friend over and make silly crank calls? Come on, spill! It's too late to get into trouble. Alternatives are to write about experiences with a babysitter for your kids or how about babysitting for your grandkids? Do you spoil them rotten? Go ahead and write about whatever you'd like. You're in charge. I must admit that I was never a babysitter when I was a teenager, and my children are too young for me to be a grandmother. So, I'm left with talking about the babysitters that I?ve had for my children over the years.Fortunately for me, my mom, my sister, and my ex-mother-in-law, have been the only babysitters. I've never had to go outside of the family for someone to watch my children. Some may call me overprotective, but due to a bad situation that happened when I was younger, I feel that I must be this way. Anyway, I consider myself to be very lucky where babysitting is concerned. I've never once had to worry about my children's well-being, and that in itself is a blessing. An added bonus was that I didn't have to worry about paying for their services, except for my sister (LOL). I?d offer, of course, but the grandmas wouldn't hear of taking any money from me; especially since I was raising my two oldest sons by myself at one point. I always made an effort to pack food and any other items that the kids would need for the day and/or night so that I would be less of a burden to them. I thank God every day for these people in my life and in the lives of my children.  I did come across an email that was sent to me by someone at work, which contained self-explanatory pictures of Why Dads Should Not Babysit. I thought that they were funny....hope you do to!
