"Desperate Housewives"

Okay, so maybe we're not that desperate and maybe some of us aren't even housewives, but I thought it would be fun, in light of the popularity of this new show, to see which character we most identify with and why. Give us some examples of things you have done or could see yourself doing that are like one of the desperate housewives.
Give us your very best household hint, tip, recipe or whatever! Help make our lives less desperate!!!
Unfortunately, I don't watch Desperate Housewives, and I'm not too sure of
their personalities/characters, besides what's listed on the website, so I decided to search
the World Wide Web for the "housewife" and/or "mom" who I felt best represents me. Here's who I came up with, and why... (sorry to be so longwinded.)
Clare Huxtable from the Cosby Show
Like Clair Huxtable, I have a full-time job (although I’m not a lawyer), but nothing is more important than my family. I have high expectations for my children’s education and their behavior, both at school and at home. I stress effort and achievement, principles and compassion, and I also try to be a role model for getting work done before play. I enjoy having "family night", which may include a board game, a movie, etc. I try to establish rules and routines in the home. I always try to be fair to my children. Instead of just yelling at them and punishing them, I try to make them understand why what they did was wrong, so that they won't repeat their mistakes.
Also like Clair, I try to be a good wife as well. I spend quality time alone with my husband, honor my role as his wife, but I’m no push over. We are friends, each other’s confidant, and very much in love. Many times you can catch us in the kitchen dancing, watching our favorite TV shows together (General Hospital and 24), or "avidly" debating some issue. We share a "bathroom book", and he never forgets to keep my page marked. We try to have romantic evenings out when we can, but ultimately love spending time with our children.

Here are a few of my helpful household hints...
To remove the hard candlewax from a glass or metal candleholder, place it in the freezer. When frozen, the wax should pop out easily.
To avoid the rust rings from shaving cream cans after showering, try sitting the can upside down on the plasic lid when you're finished using it.
To removing scuff marks from linoleum, rub the suff marks with another shoe or sneaker!
I could not live without this bathroom cleaner ...
