As a child, a favorite Christmas tradition was done on Christmas Eve. Each one of us would get a chance to open one gift from under the Christmas tree. I always went for the biggest gift *giggle*. Now my children look forward to doing the same thing on Christmas Eve. It's the only way to get them to bed anyway.

Another tradition is for the youngest person in the house to place the topper on the tree. Each year we make new ornaments for the tree as a family-get-together-craft-project. Last year, we made Chrismons.

Christmas Eve, we attend a church service where we mostly sing, and finally, another tradition is for us to share a big dinner together as a family at home.

I'm looking forward to doing that again this year, and we'll have my mom and sister here visiting from New York to share Christmas with us.
