My brother had this girlfriend once who would constantly call the house to speak with with him, and when we would inform her that my brother was not at home at that time, she would immediately hang up the phone...without so much as a good-bye, thank you...nothing. That just irritated me because I felt that she was being very rude, and we always treated her with respect.

So, on this particular day, she calls for my brother. I inform her that my brother is not around, and she, of course, simply hangs up in my ear. I'm boiling at this point.

About 15 minutes later, while watching T.V. with my parents in their room, we hear my brother come in. I can't see him, but I yell out to him (with my big mouth) "Ben, you need to tell your little girlfriend that she needs to learn how to speak to people on the phone. She is a very, very rude person!!!!" My brother yells back, "Uh, well I don't need to tell her because she's standing right here, you just told her.

Oh my gosh! I was so embarassed. My parents and I just stood there with our hands over our mouths (as if they said it too). I felt really bad for that one, and I didn't leave my parents' bedroom until she left the house.

Yikes!
